Book Name:Musibaton Par Sabr Ka Zehen Kaise Banye?

had bestowed upon Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم all kinds of blessings, including beauty in appearance, many children, and abundant wealth. Allah Almighty put Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم through a trial.

Consequently, his children perished, crushed under a collapsed building. All his animals, including thousands of camels and goats, died. All his fields and gardens were ruined, leaving nothing behind. When Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was informed of the destruction and loss of these things, he عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم would praise Allah Almighty and say: 'What is mine? The One to whom it belonged has taken it. As long as He gave it to me, it was mine; when He wished, He took it. Gratitude to Him cannot be adequately expressed, and I am content with His will.'

After this, Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم fell ill. His entire body became covered with blisters, and his blessed form bore numerous wounds. In this state, everyone abandoned him, except for his honourable wife, Ramat bint Afrāˈīm, who did not leave him and continued to serve him. This condition of Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم lasted for several years. Eventually, a reason arose, and Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم supplicated in the Divine Court: 'O my Lord, indeed affliction has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy.'[1]

Allah Almighty accepted Prophet Ayyub’s supplication and removed his suffering in such a way that He commanded Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم: 'Strike the ground with your foot.' When he struck with his foot, a spring appeared. Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was commanded to bathe from it. When Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم bathed, all the visible ailments of his body disappeared. Then, Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم walked forty paces. He was then commanded to strike the ground with his foot again, and when he did, another spring appeared, whose water was extremely cold. Prophet Ayyūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم drank this water by the command of Allah
