their way, makes people punctual in their Salah, makes followers of the indecent fashion the embodiment of Sunnah, and puts the love of Islam in the hearts of those who have wandered far from Islam. (Tanveer Sharh Jami’-us-Sagheer, vol. 4, p. 113)
Additionally, ‘Allamah Manaawi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه mentions: ‘The grandeur of such person is that people become inspired towards goodness by looking at him. Wherever he goes, he spreads this enthusiasm of good deeds. If he speaks, then virtuous words come from his mouth. When he thinks, he thinks of piety. His internal state is also upon righteousness, to such an extent that even those who adopt his company become righteous themselves too.’ (Fayz-ul-Qadeer, vol. 2, p. 528, under the Hadith 2465)
2. After this is he who is the key to evil and the lock of wellbeing, i.e. he is the complete opposite of the first one. Wherever he goes, he plants the seeds of evil. Wickedness comes from his tongue when he speaks, evil works are performed by him and all of his thoughts are also based upon evil. In short, he himself is evil, and all he gives to others is also evil.
From these two people, the one who was mentioned first, he who spreads goodness, it is stated in the Hadith regarding him: ‘good news for him.’ As for the second, who spreads evil, it is stated in the Hadith regarding him: ‘destruction is for him.’
‘Allamah Manaawi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه relates the following Madani pearl of wisdom in relation to this: ‘When Allah Almighty is pleased with somebody, then the sign of this is that Allah Almighty makes him the key of wellbeing (meaning, he who spreads goodness).
