Book Name:Aaqa Kareem Ki Ummat Say Muhabbat

Ummah’s sins and the severities of Judgement Day and plead in the court of Allah Almighty, he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would weep when hearing the recitation of the Quranic verse in which there is mention of witnesses being taken from every nation and him being made a witness of everyone, he would sometimes spend the entire night reciting one verse, he would sometimes extend his standing and bowing in Salah, and would sometimes place his forehead in prostration, seeking goodness for the Ummah. He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would plead and remain awake at night, and would weep whilst supplicating for the salvation and protection of the sinful Ummah from the difficulties of the grave and the Day of Judgement.

The reason for crying

Our Merciful and Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم raised both of his blessed hands and wept whilst making Du’a for the Ummah, and said: ‘اَللّٰھُمَّ اُمَّتِیْ اُمَّتِیْ’, meaning, ‘O Allah! My Ummah, my Ummah.’ Allah Almighty commanded Sayyiduna Jibraeel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام, ‘Go to my Beloved صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Your Lord is well aware, but ask him the reason for his crying.’ Thus, Sayyiduna Jibraeel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام presented himself as commanded and asked. So, the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم explained his state to him and expressed his grief over the Ummah. Sayyiduna Jibraeel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام returned to the court of Allah Almighty and said, ‘O Allah Almighty! Your Beloved صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said such-and-such, and Allah Almighty knows well.’ Allah Almighty then commanded Sayyiduna Jibraeel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام, ‘Go to My Beloved صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and tell him that We will soon please him regarding his Ummah and We will not allow his blessed heart to become distressed.’ (Muslim, p. 109, Hadith 499)
