Book Name:Aaqa Kareem Ki Ummat Say Muhabbat
and will even remember his Ummah on the Day of Judgement. Let us listen to two accounts in this regard and refresh our faith:
1. He will proclaim, ‘Ummati, Ummati,’ until the Day of Judgement
Sayyiduna Qusam رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was that individual who was the last to exit the blessed grave of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم after burying him. He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ states: I was the last person to see the blessed face of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in his noble grave. I saw that the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was moving his blessed lips in his illuminated grave, so I moved my ears closer to the blessed mouth of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and I heard him saying, ‘ربِّ اُمَّتِیْ اُمَّتِیْ (meaning, O Lord! My Ummah, my Ummah).’ (Madarij-un-Nubuwwah, vol. 2, p. 442) And the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: When I pass away, I will always call out in my grave, ‘ربِّ اُمَّتِیْ اُمَّتِیْ (meaning, O Lord! My Ummah, my Ummah),’ until the second trumpet is blown. (Kanz-ul-‘Ummaal, vol. 7, p. 178, Hadith 39108)
2. Muhaddis-e-A’zam Pakistan said…
Muhaddis-e-A’zam Pakistan, Allamah Maulana Sardar Ahmad رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه would say that the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم remembered us throughout his life by saying, ‘Ummati, Ummati,’ is saying ‘Ummati, Ummati,’ in his blessed grave, and will continue to do so until the Day of Judgement, such that even on the Day of Judgement, he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم will say, ‘Ummati, Ummati.’ The reality is that even if he said, ‘Ummati,’ once, and we spent our entire life saying, ‘Ya Nabi, Ya Nabi, Ya Rasoolallah, Ya Habiballah,’ we would still be unable to fulfil the right of his one proclamation of ‘Ummati.’ (Aashiq-e-Akbar, p. 53)
