Book Name:Sab Say Barh Kar Sakhi
عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام would meet with him in every night of Ramadan, and the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would go over the Holy Quran with him. Then the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was more generous in good matters than a swift wind. (Faizan-e-Sunnat, vol. 1, p. 9, Hadith: 6)
Sayyiduna Jabir Bin Abdullah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا reports that the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم never said the word ‘لَا’, i.e. ‘No,’ to anyone who asked. (Shifa` Shareef, vol. 1, p. 111) On one occasion, 70,000 Dirhams were brought to his court, thus, he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم placed them on a mat and began to distribute them whilst standing next to it. No seeker was returned empty-handed, until all of them were distributed. (Akhlaaq ul-Nabi-wa-Aadaabuhu li abi Al-Sheikh Al-Asbahani, p. 30, Hadith 95)
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
There were some occasions where the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would purchase something, and after paying for it, would gift that item back to the person or to someone else. Once, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم purchased a camel from Sayyiduna Jabir Bin Abdullah رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, and returned the same camel back to him as a gift. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol. 2, p. 18, Hadith 2097) Similarly, he purchased a baby camel from Ameer-ul-Mumineen, Sayyiduna Umar رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, and gifted it to Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Umar رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا. (Bukhari, vol. 2, p. 23, Hadith 2115)
Dear Islamic brothers! Look at how generous the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was! He would even gift those things which he purchased for his own needs. With the intention of acting upon this blessed Sunnah and bringing happiness to the hearts of Muslims, we should develop a habit of giving gifts to one another, because giving gifts increases love and removes animosity. Just as Sayyiduna ‘Ata Khurasani رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates that the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated: Shake hands with others, hatred decreases by this, and send
