Book Name:Sab Say Barh Kar Sakhi

In a statement regarding the virtues and blessings of Sadaqa, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: Sadaqa does not bring any reduction in wealth, and Allah Almighty, due to a slave’s forgiving (of others), elevates his honour, and whosoever adopts humility for the sake of Allah, Allah Almighty grants him elevation. (Sahih Muslim, p. 1397, Hadith 2577)

It is the unique status of independence of the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم that he would not keep wealth within his blessed home, rather, he would immediately give it away as Sadaqa. On one occasion, after finishing ‘Asr Salah, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم immediately entered his blessed home, and then quickly came back outside. The honourable Sahabah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُم expressed their surprise at such, and the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: A thought came to me during Salah that some gold for Sadaqa is in the home. I did not like it for night to arrive and for that gold to remain in the home, and for this reason, I have come after ordering for it to be distributed. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol. 1, p. 411, Hadith 1221)

Sayyiduna Abu Zar رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ reports: One day, I was with the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. When he saw the mountain of Uhud, he stated: If this mountain was turned into gold for me, then I shall not like for even one Dinar of it to remain with me for more than three days, except for that Dinar I would keep to repay a loan. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, vol. 2, p. 105, Hadith 2377)

The most generous of all

In explaining the limitless generosity of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Abbas رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا reports: The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is the most generous from amongst all people, and his generosity was at its peak when Sayyiduna Jibreel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام would come to meet him in the month of Ramadan. Sayyiduna Jibreel
