Book Name:Rahmat e Ilahi Ka Mushtaaq Banany Waly Amaal

Dear Islamic brothers, in today’s speech, we will cover matters relating to the mercy of Allah, the method to attain His mercy and the things that lead to being deprived of His mercy. Let us first listen to a narration full of mercy.

Entry to Paradise is by virtue of Divine mercy

Sayyiduna Jabir رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ stated that the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم came to us and said: ‘My Khaleel Jibreel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام just came to me and said: ‘O Muhammad (صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم), oath by the One who sent you with the truth, a servant of Allah worshipped on the peak of a seamount for 500 years. The width and height of the mountain was 30 arms’ length. Allah would bring forth for him a stream as wide as a finger from which sweet water would flow slowly. The water would gather at the bottom of the mountain. Every night, a pomegranate would grow on a tree. In the evening, that individual would come down, perform wudu and eat the pomegranate. Then, he would stand for salah. At the time of his death, he requested before Allah for his soul to be withdrawn whilst he is prostrating and that he be raised again in this state [on the Day of Judgement].’

Jibraeel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام said: ‘When he is raised on the Day of Judgement and stands before Allah, Allah will say regarding that individual: ‘Make my slave enter Paradise because of My mercy.’ The individual will say: ‘O my Lord, but rather, because of my actions.’ Allah will say: ‘Make my slave enter Paradise because of My mercy.’ The individual will say again: ‘O my Lord, rather because of my actions.’ Allah will say to the angels: ‘Compare the actions of my slave to My blessings.’ The blessing of being given an eye will cover his 500 years’ worth of worship, and the remaining bodily blessings given to him will be additional.

Allah will say, ‘Put my slave in Hell’, and so he will be dragged towards Hell and say: ‘O my Lord, make me enter Paradise because of Your mercy.’ So, Allah will say, ‘Bring him back.’ He will be made to stand before Allah. The Almighty will then question him about His blessings
